Ta dah! The new CMC branding and website is live thanks to brilliant partnership working with Lucy Kirkman from RMG Creative. What started as a casual conversation way back in March, took proper shape as a project a couple of months ago and has finally come to fruition.
My business has changed significantly over the last 12 years. I wanted my branding to reflect the more holistic and multi-faceted way I work with clients, with a logo and colour palette that echoed the way clients describe my approach. Lucy took time to really understand the brief and brought the perfect mix of creativity, enthusiasm and challenge to achieve an end result that we’re both really pleased with.
This rebrand was also a chance to work with the wonderful Charlie Budd and team from Chin Badger Media. For me personally, the mark of a successful brand photographer is one who can capture the essence of who you are and how you work, even when you hate having your picture taken, and that’s what I feel Charlie and his team have achieved.
It was then over to Alex Mercer from Digital Riot who has done a great job of transforming Lucy’s designs and Charlie’s photos into a new website. This was as much about creating a fresh look that’s easy to navigate as developing a CMS that is intuitive for me to update.
And while I’ve worked with Lucy, Charlie and Alex for years, a chance LinkedIn invitation also led me to work with Lisa Talbot. I may have missed out on the ‘facelift’ that CMC has enjoyed, but Lisa provided some much-needed personal style advice to support my brand photography and complement the new CMC look. I’m definitely still a work in progress but looking forward to doing more work with Lisa in the coming months.
I feel very fortunate to be working with such skilled and experienced professionals – all of whom make collaborating great fun. Is work supposed to be this enjoyable?
